1. What we sell

MAKIINA robot arms, dual arm systems and actuators are sold as research and development platforms for research, education and product development by people with the technical knowledge to use them safely. They are not toys, not consumer appliances, not medical devices and not finished industrial machinery. They are not intended for use in production lines, around untrained people or near children without the buyer's own risk assessment and safety measures.

The buyer is responsible for safe use: a clear and guarded workspace, supervision while the arm moves, a suitable power supply, an emergency stop, and following the documentation. Robot arms can move fast and with force. Software, examples and models are open source and provided as is.

2. Orders and contract

The contract is made when we confirm your order by email. We may cancel an order and refund it in full, for example if an item is out of stock or a price was clearly wrong.

3. Prices, taxes and duties

Prices are shown in your local currency where your market supports it, otherwise in US dollars. Prices exclude tax and shipping. The final price, taxes and delivery cost are shown at checkout before you pay.

  • EU private customers pay the VAT of their own EU country, added at checkout.
  • EU business customers outside Finland who enter a valid VAT number at checkout pay 0% VAT under the reverse charge and account for VAT themselves. Business customers in Finland pay Finnish VAT.
  • Outside the EU the goods are exported without Finnish VAT. Import duties, taxes and customs fees may be charged by the destination country and are paid by the recipient.

A VAT invoice is available for every order.

4. Payment

Payment is taken at checkout by card, Shop Pay, Apple Pay, Google Pay or PayPal, processed by Shopify Payments or PayPal. We never see or store your full card details.

5. Delivery

We ship from Tampere, Finland; orders ship in about 3 weeks. Delivery options and costs are shown at checkout; see our shipping policy. Risk in the goods passes to you when they are delivered to you.

6. Withdrawal, returns and defects

Private customers in the EU and EEA have a 14 day right of withdrawal. Defective units and warranty are handled as described in our refund policy.

7. Liability

For business customers our total liability is limited to the price paid for the product concerned, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, such as lost data, lost profit or damage to other equipment, unless the law does not allow this limit. For private customers, liability follows the law.

8. Law and disputes

These terms follow Finnish law. Please contact us first; most problems are solved quickly by email. A private customer can also contact the Finnish Consumer Advisory Service and take a dispute to the Consumer Disputes Board (kuluttajariita.fi). A private customer keeps the protection of the consumer law of their own country.
